Next Election: Ondo State Governorship Elections-16th November 2024
Ahead of the Adamawa governorship bye-election scheduled for 11th October 2014, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in the state from Tuesday 9th to 11th September 2014.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is to set up registration points at its Local Government Area (LGA) offices where people who are yet to register under the Phase II of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise can go to in order to register.
Directing staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have been charged to actively implement the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) programme of the Commission in order to minimize cases of dispute to the barest minimum.
Political parties have been advised to always appoint faithful and genuine party agents who will not compromise their integrity during elections.
Though substantial work has been done by the Commission and its partners to delimit constituencies, the process cannot be concluded and submitted to the National Assembly for its official seal until after the 2015 General Elections.
